A few words about us/me....
Hello, I'm Sara. I live in Shepperton with my husband and two daughters. I first became interested in organic skincare in the summer of '06 when I was facing redundancy and looking for a different career. If I'm honest, prior to that, I hadn't given much thought as to what I was putting on my skin; as long as it wasn't tested on animals, I was happy.
However, the more I read about the ingredients used in conventional products, the more passionate I began to feel about the subject. I realised how naïve the vast majority of us (including me) were about skincare products.
I felt especially angry about baby products. When I'd had my two daughters in the '90s, I'd happily accepted my free samples of well-known baby lotions and creams and had used them confidently. I didn't think to read the labels; I didn't think the manufacturers of baby products would use ingredients that have proven to be toxic or strip the skin of its natural oils …… but I was wrong.
When I trialled this product range in the summer, I was delighted. Not only had I found products that only included natural ingredients, but they worked, smelt lovely and were reasonably priced. I was amazed when the face creams and hand creams just soaked straight into my skin - no layer of grease or shine left here. Even my husband (ever the cynic) praised the limited product range he was trying without being prompted - that was when I knew I'd found the right products!
